​Back in 2012, a company called Redhammer was created to give small contractors the benefits of construction accounting best practices for larger firms. I was one of the founding members but although I participated in early planning and set up and supported their IT, I did not actually work there until early 2018, when the other partners asked me to join them full-time.  At that time, I already had over 16 years of IT consulting experience so it didn’t take long for me to see that most of Redhammer’s clients had no one to turn to for their IT needs. Furthermore, even though I had been supporting the IT of a few construction firms for years I also realized that Hawaii’s AEC firms largely weren’t taking advantage of technology that could improve their businesses. Most were even dangerously behind the curve with basic IT standards and tech, putting them at risk and hampering their operations. ​ This epiphany (along with a lack of enthusiasm for accounting!), led me to propose the creation of a separate business that same year, one focused on addressing the IT needs of Hawaii’s AEC firms, and we agreed that I would create and run HammerTECH with the mission:​​

Steven Chiang
Steven brings experience as a CEO of a specialty contractor, management and technology consultant for a global consulting firm, Strategic Business Manager for a Fortune 500 firm, CIO for a Hawaii 250 company, Technical Director for an accounting software consultancy, and Director of a business consulting program. He has also served as technology consultant for numerous construction, architecture, and engineering firms, as CTO for a construction-specific services firm, and has a MBA in Management.
Andrew
Andrew has served as CTO and Principal Engineer in multiple MSPs and large IT departments. He has designed technology solutions and automations for businesses of all sizes and industries (Consultant)
Ash
Ash has years over 13 years of experience in web design, e-commerce, and IT support and administration for global and IT organizations and has a degree in Information Technology.
Chris
Chris brings experience providing technical support at some of the world's largest technology companies, including at Microsoft for their business partners, as well as smaller MSPs. He is enthusiastic about web marketing and SEO optimization.
Jeff
Jeffrey has over 21 years of experience as PM and software developer for Federal and commercial customers in construction, security systems, and networks in Hawaii, Japan, and South Korea. Jeff has developed integrations for multiple construction accounting software packages, including complex custom reporting for real-estate development. Jeroem
Jeroem is an experienced professional with years of experience, specializing in customer service and support roles. Jeroem enjoys going to buffet restaurants because he loves trying different cuisines.
JOHN
John has a Bachelors in Computer Science and has supported business networks, computers, and servers since 2017. When not working, he spends most of his time with his baby boy and playing vid​eo games.
JONATHAN
Jonathan has designed and implemented advanced server, network, and audio/visual system across the U.S. mainland and Hawaii. He has a degree in Computer Science and has developed custom applications to digitize operations. He has also toured with famous artists as a sound engineer.
lester
Lester is an IT Support Specialist with over 8 years of professional experience implementing and troubleshooting computer-related hardware and software. He enjoys providing timely and effective solutions that optimize workflow efficiency and communicating technical concepts to non-technical users. Aside from tech, he loves playing basketball, video games, and most of all, spending quality time with his family and friends.
Mark
With a love of acquiring new skills and a strong technical background from 14 years of IT experience, Mark quickly learns new tools and processes. He is active in activities like hiking, art, and maintaining aquariums.
Nicole
Nicole brings an experienced perspective with proven success in administrative and operational excellence. She has years of experience working with start-up and small businesses locally and abroad, focusing on optimizations and the utilization of technology. Nicole has a diverse skillset including creative design and spends her free time with her husband, cat, and puppy.
PATTI
Patti brings over 20 years of experience in technology support, systems design and implementation, and process analysis across many industries including the past decade in construction. She has served as senior consultant in a global management consulting firm focusing on financial system. Patti has a BBA with a double major in Management Information Systems and Finance. Ryan has over 18 years of progressive IT support experience, years specializing in service dispatch, incident triage, and service coordination. When not helping clients and his team, Ryan likes to cook, play video games with his son, and working on the PC that he built.
