Yikes!  Out of 19 industries, construction industry workers are the MOST likely to click on "phishing" emails (those fake emails that try to fool you into giving information or click on links to bad websites).  Be careful out there and spread the word to your staff! 
Some tips to protect yourself: 

1. Hover mouse over links (or on mobile, long-press links) to see where the link is trying to send you
2. Look very carefully at sender email address. You can try hit Reply (without sending of course) to reveal the sender's full email address.
3. When someone is emailing asking you to do something risky like transfer money, pick up the phone and call them to confirm.

     When we started HammerTECH, it was in part due to our observation that Hawaii's Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry: 1) Was generally behind the curve in terms of awareness and adoption of technology that could help their businesses, and; 2) Was under-served by generic IT services companies.
​     In the U.S., the Construction sector is next to last (just beating agriculture) in terms of leveraging technology.  Largely because of this, productivity growth in Construction has been near the bottom too, lagging far behind overall U.S. productivity growth. Our hope is that we can help Hawaii's AEC firms reduce risk, improve productivity/profitability, and have less headaches through the sensible and affordable adoption of technology.
